The gentle giant
I've always know that I wanted to have a greyhound as my buddy. In Dec 2016, I put my application in but with the intention of waiting a bit longer to make sure that this was what I wanted to do.
It worked out well that my house check around the same time ACTGSN did a call out for volunteers to drive 2 houndies down to Melbourne. Since I was going already, I offered to take them. Meeting the lovely Todd and Dani was what sealed the deal - I didn't want to wait anymore!
A few weeks later, Cindy told me about Bruno, I knew it was meant to be! I fell in love with him before I'd even met him - although I have to admit, I wasn't quite expecting him to be huge. The day I brought him home, I knew he was here to stay. Bruno is such a gentle giant, settling right in and paying no attention to my cat. From the get go, he picked his favourite toys and now you can see him take them to the bathroom with him. He never fails to make me laugh with his endless greyhound bed fails and teaching him how to walk stairs turned out to be much easier than we'd ever imagined. Bruno never leaves my side when I am home and he loves leaning into my side to get head scratches.
If raiding the recycling bin is the naughtiest thing he's done in the two weeks I've had him, then he really is the perfect dog.
